Music Residence
The Music Residency, directed by Eloi Caldeiro, has focused on the preparation and recording of a music album taking the Galician Portuguese texts from the Middle Ages as source. Through joint rehearsals, work in the studio and parallel activities, such as workshops and seminars, the young artists developed the main working structure for the final creative product.
The music residency participants worked on pre-composed melodies and studied the Cantigas texts for selecting those to be used for the lyrics. Through online exchange, the participants had continued exchanging their work and integrating the arrangements needed.
The work done through this residency was the basis for working with other disciplines in the multidisciplinary residency, as well as the foundation for the recording of the original final music album.
A Residência Musical, dirigida por Eloi Caldeiro, e focou-se na preparação e gravação de um álbum musical tendo como fonte textos galego-portugueses da Idade Média. Através de ensaios conjuntos, trabalho em estúdio e actividades paralelas, como workshops e seminários, os jovens artistas desenvolveram a principal estrutura de trabalho para o produto criativo final.
Os participantes da residência musical trabalharam melodias pré-compostas e estudaram os textos das Cantigas para seleccionar aqueles que seriam utilizados nas letras. Através de trabalho online, os participantes continuaram a trocar os seus trabalhos e a integrar os arranjos necessários.
O trabalho desenvolvido durante esta residência foi a base para o trabalho com outras disciplinas na residência multidisciplinar, bem como a base para a gravação do álbum de músicas originais final.
